Clarendon Park Aftercare provides a safe and homely environment where the afternoon needs of the pupils are met. Homework is supervised by competent staff in comfortable working environments. Aftercare hours are from 12:30 to 17:30.

Play areas are spacious and feature beautiful astro turf, jungle gyms, swings, sandpits and wendy houses. For the pupils’ safety, playgrounds are divided into different age groups. Play is supervised and closely monitored by staff members.

Upon arrival at aftercare, each pupil is signed in.  If a pupil has an extra-mural activity, he/she is signed out, and then signed back in once they have returned to aftercare. Grade 1, 2, and 3 pupils are escorted from school to aftercare, and to and from extra-murals. This ensures that the pupils’ whereabouts are known at all times. When pupils are fetched to be taken home, the supervisor will sign them out. No pupil will be released to another person without the permission of the parent.

Grade 1 to Grade 5 pupils are provided with their own locker in which they store their possessions. A light lunch is served in the dining area.  Lunch is made up of a hamburger, hotdog or something similar, together with a light snack served at tea-time.
